Step 2) Create a letter and use the address list.

You can read a suggested letter here. You can either Copy and Paste this letter to a word processing program or get the text from a download word file here. (Click here if you don't know how to copy and paste.)

You can get the addresses by Copy and Pasting from the address page or printing it out. Or, from this Word address file which has the addresses for all targets for the letter.

The list includes the addresses for the Governor Pataki, Mayor Giuliani, Senator Schumer, Senator Clinton, Representive Maloney, State Attorney General Spitzer, State Senators, Assembly Persons, City Council Persons, and most announced candidates for Governor and Mayor.

You must know which are your elected officials because the list includes some that represent only a portion of the area. For New Yorkers in the East Midtown area, this may mean looking up your State Senator, State Assembly Person and City Council Person through the links below. Each link will open a new browser. Find out your representative, then close that browser and you will return here. Select a choice as appropriate:

(If you live outside of the immediate area you may need to look all of these up in addtion to your congressman and then edit any of these e-mail lists as inecessary. You can look up your New York State elected officials through the link above.)

Step 3) Merge the addresses and text.

Once you know who represents you, create your letters from the suggested letter and address information described above and mail away! Please send a copy of your letters to the East Midtown Coalition For Sensible Development. Our address is at the bottom of the page.

When you have done this you will earn our hearty thanks and congratulations!

Please return to the East Midtown Coalition For Sensible Development's home page. Bookmark the page and check back often for news, public hearings you can attend and updated calls for e-mails/letters. Contact the Webmaster there if you have any comments on this process.
